Terms of Use

1. What BrainBoxx is

BrainBoxx is a native iOS app plus a small daemon (bb) you install on your own machines and a relay that connects them, letting you view and control AI command-line agents running on your machines from your phone. You provide the machines, the agents, and the API keys; BrainBoxx provides the connection and the interface.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use BrainBoxx for your own use, in line with these terms and Apple's standard EULA, which applies in addition to these terms and prevails if the two ever conflict. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or misrepresent the app.

3. Your machines and your responsibility

• You control what runs. BrainBoxx executes the commands and AI agents you start on your machines. You are responsible for those agents, the actions they take, the code they change, and the API keys they use.
• Keep your fleet code secret. Your fleet code is the only credential. Anyone who has it can reach the machines you've paired to it. Treat it like a password.
• Lawful use only. Don't use BrainBoxx to break the law, breach others' rights, or access machines you don't own or aren't authorised to use.

4. BrainBoxx Pro — subscriptions

BrainBoxx is free to use on one watched Folder. BrainBoxx Pro unlocks every Folder across every machine, push notifications, and Home Screen widgets. Pro is offered as:

• Monthly — £4.99 per month, an auto-renewable subscription.
• Yearly — £49 per year, an auto-renewable subscription.
• Founding (Lifetime) — £99, a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may vary by region; the amounts above are indicative. The following apply to the auto-renewable options (monthly and yearly):

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account on confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the rate for your selected plan.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store account settings after purchase. Turning off auto-renew stops future charges; the current period runs to its end.
• No refund is given for the unused portion of a current period, except where required by law or Apple's policy.

The Founding (Lifetime) purchase is a one-time, non-consumable purchase tied to your Apple ID; it does not renew and is not charged again. All purchases are processed by Apple and are also subject to Apple's terms. Restore a previous purchase from the paywall or Settings at any time.

5. Third-party AI tools

The agents you run through BrainBoxx — Claude, Gemini, Codex, Grok, or others — are made by third parties and governed by their own terms and privacy policies. BrainBoxx is a viewer and controller for tools you've chosen to install; we're not responsible for what those tools do, cost, or produce.

6. No warranty

BrainBoxx is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the relay will always be reachable. Nothing here excludes liability that can't be excluded under law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apexx Apps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, lost work, or damage arising from the actions of AI agents you run, from your machines, or from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for BrainBoxx in the 12 months before the claim. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and note anything material in the app's release notes. We may suspend or end the service, or your access, if you breach these terms. You can stop at any time by unpairing your machines and deleting the app.

9. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Questions? Email support@apexx.app.
